Download monocles chat test for Android
and SHA256SUMS.This is a debug-signed test APK, not a signed release build. It installs as
monocles chat test beside the official Monocles app, using separate data.
It requires Android 6.0 / API 23 or newer and includes all four architectures:
armeabi-v7a,arm64-v8a,x86,x86_64.debugmeans debugging is enabled and the release build's R8 code/resource
shrinking is disabled. The app ID isde.monocles.chat.m152test; its test
signature cannot update an installation signed by the upstream project.
The download filename now identifies Monocles instead of the inherited Gradle
project name Conversations. The APK bytes and signature are unchanged.Source and library
- Current development on master
- Exact source for this APK: commit
71777f45ae9bd83f31b13ac343b8162aba1382f7 - Base: upstream
Experimental8-v2.3.1 - Bundled WebRTC M152 library: 152.0.0-dinox.3
App users only need the APK. The separate WebRTC AAR is for developers building
the app. The update covers direct audio/video calls and MUJI preparation,
invitations, RTP negotiation and resource cleanup. Existing encryption selection
and trust checks remain in use.Validation
274 of 276 JVM tests passed, including all 15 regressions added in the final
review. Two unchanged parser tests require a Linux host libsignal library that
is unavailable in the test environment. No tests were excluded or skipped. All five debug and five optimized, unsigned release APKs were built and checked.
Checks included app identities, Java/JNI bindings, native libraries, alignment
and the Java entry points retained by R8. The optimized unsigned release APKs
are not the download offered here.Android installation and actual two-way 1:1/MUJI calls remain untested.
See the device test checklist. To verify the downloaded APK, put it and
SHA256SUMSin the same directory and run:sha256sum -c SHA256SUMSDownloads
