    Monocles 2.3.1 M152 MUJI .12 — video effects Pre-release

    Adds optional Warm tone and Grayscale effects to 1:1 and MUJI video calls. A small button in the lower call controls opens the effect selection. The local preview and outgoing video use the same processed camera frames.

    Effects start off for each new call. Camera switching, turning video off/on, and extending a direct call to MUJI preserve the selected effect. Existing WebRTC M152 and Libsignal binaries are reused.

    This signed universal APK updates the separate Monocles app and contains all four Android architectures. Android 6.0 or newer is required.

    Validation: full Android Java/resources compilation, release R8, 132 current-source regression cases, and 24 host OpenGL ES render checks. Calls, camera behavior and performance on physical Android devices still need testing.

    Aktualisiert auf Monocles Experimental13 mit den fünf neuen Commits aus dem Originalprojekt. Enthalten sind die getrennte Kontakt-/Gruppenauswahl, Verbesserungen an Stories und Feeds sowie der Import von Conversations- und Quicksy-Backups.

    Unsere Änderungen für WebRTC M152, MUJI-Gruppenanrufe und „Teilnehmer hinzufügen“ im laufenden 1:1-Anruf bleiben enthalten. Ein Gruppenanruf aus einem privaten Chat verwendet diesen vorhandenen Chatraum.

    Diese signierte Release-App lässt sich neben dem Original installieren und aktualisiert eine vorhandene Installation unseres Forks mit demselben Schlüssel. Die neue Fassung wurde im Code und mit lokalen Tests geprüft; Geräteanrufe wurden noch nicht getestet.

    Teilnehmer während eines laufenden 1:1-Anrufs hinzufügen und den Anruf als private Konferenz fortsetzen. Dafür wird ein temporärer privater Anrufraum angelegt.

    Ein Gruppenanruf aus einem privaten Chat verwendet diesen vorhandenen Chatraum. Über den Telefonknopf lässt sich ein laufender Gruppenanruf öffnen oder ihm beitreten. Auflegen beendet die eigene Teilnahme; der Textchat bleibt erhalten.

    Die APK verwendet weiterhin WebRTC M152. Die Änderungen wurden vor dem Bau im Code und mit lokalen Tests geprüft. Die neuen Abläufe wurden noch nicht auf dem Tablet getestet.

    Monocles chat 2.3.1 · M152 · MUJI .9

    The group-call menu separates opening your ongoing call, rejoining the previous call and starting a new audio or video group call.

    After another participant leaves, the ongoing group remains visible and can be ended with the hangup button. Opening it from its original chat uses the same call room.

    Rejoin checks the existing private room and its current MUJI participants. It does not create a replacement call or send a new invitation. The previous room is remembered during the current app connection; restarting or disconnecting clears that reference.

    Monocles chat 2.3.1 with WebRTC M152 and MUJI group calls — test build 8.

    • Hanging up now leaves the group call even after the displayed peer has disconnected.
    • Notification failures no longer interrupt group-call readiness or cleanup. A standard foreground notification is used if the group-call notification cannot be built.

    Install monocles-chat-2.3.1-m152-muji.apk. It updates de.monocles.chat.dinox with the same release signing key and installs alongside the official Monocles app. Requires Android 6.0 or newer; includes all four native architectures.

    189 JVM regression cases and 23 focused repair checks passed against production Java methods with stubbed Android/native endpoints. The signed release assembly builds Java/resources; package checks verify the signature, native hashes, JNI/R8 bindings and alignment. This APK has not been tested on an Android device and is a testing prerelease.

    Monocles chat 2.3.1 with upstream Experimental11, WebRTC M152 and MUJI.

    • Includes the upstream dependency updates and Android SDK37 upgrade.
    • Uses Libsignal native libraries built from the matching current source for all four Android architectures.
    • Includes the corrected permission handling before joining a MUJI call: microphone and camera permissions are checked; an optional permission denial does not trigger repeated prompts.

    Install monocles-chat-2.3.1-m152-muji.apk. This is a signed release APK for the separate app de.monocles.chat.dinox, with the same signing key as earlier releases. It updates that app and installs alongside the official Monocles app. Android6.0 or newer; universal APK for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86 and x86_64.

    175 focused JVM tests passed on the current sources. Package checks cover the release signature, disabled debugging, all four architectures, JNI bindings, R8 rules and16KiB alignment. Calls on Android devices have not been tested with this APK; the download remains a prerelease for those tests.

    Signed RELEASE APK for monocles chat 2.3.1, using WebRTC M152 and upstream master c1cab2e3256fd34dbd30fb9f59edb6c1406c16bd (including Experimental9-v2.3.1).

    • Includes upstream fixes for Android gallery/file-manager sharing, MUC archive sender validation and encrypted message retractions.
    • Our M152 one-to-one calls and MUJI implementation are preserved. RRTR remains optional for direct calls; new local MUJI conferences omit it.
    • The upstream I2P fix is included: outgoing file transfers over I2P do not select the unsupported WebRTC data-channel route. It does not change audio/video or MUJI.
    • 143 call, codec, MUJI and message-correction JVM tests passed in 11 suites on this source tree.
    • Release signing, all four native ABIs, Android API levels, native library hashes, JNI bindings and R8 checks passed on this APK.
    • Existing WebRTC M152 and libsignal native libraries were reused.
    • Android device calls and I2P transfers have not been tested. This is a prerelease; its APK build type is RELEASE.

    Signed release APK for the separate monocles chat app, using WebRTC M152 and the upstream update e501c97bfa.

    Fixes a direct-call setup deadlock: the native signaling callback could wait for the Java monitor held by AddTrack. Initial audio/video setup and hangup could then remain blocked. Remote-track callbacks now use a separate publication lock, including late-callback checks after close.

    • Includes the upstream fixes for PEP reconnection and I2P WebRTC file transfer. The merge changes only AxolotlService.java and JingleFileTransferConnection.java.
    • 123 call, codec and MUJI JVM tests passed in 10 suites. Three added tests reproduce the old callback timeouts on the previous code and pass with this fix.
    • Release signing, all four native ABIs, Android API levels, native library hashes, JNI bindings and R8 checks passed on the resulting APK.
    • Existing WebRTC M152 and libsignal native libraries were reused.

    Install monocles-chat-2.3.1-m152-muji.apk. SHA256SUMS contains its checksum.

    This is monocles chat, a signed RELEASE build with R8 optimization
    and debugging disabled. Its application ID is de.monocles.chat.dinox; it
    installs beside the official Monocles app. It uses our own release key, not
    the upstream or Android debug key. Future updates to this separate app must use this same key.

    • Android 6.0 / API 23 or newer; target API 36.
    • Universal APK: armeabi-v7a, arm64-v8a, x86 and x86_64.
    • WebRTC M152 library 152.0.0-dinox.3.
    • Exact source commit on master: 1e2a25d5a015237de45b47f3824b682394b361f4.

    Current release checks passed for all five APK variants: application and
    provider identities, API levels, non-debuggable manifest, release signatures,
    native libraries, notices and ZIP alignment. The universal APK also passed
    JNI binding checks and the optimized JNI Zero/R8 checks. Existing verified
    native libraries were reused.

    The earlier full JVM run at integration commit 71777f45ae9bd83f31b13ac343b8162aba1382f7 passed
    274 of 276 tests, with no skipped tests. Two parser tests require an unavailable
    host Linux libsignal JNI library. That suite was not rerun for this release
    packaging change.     These historical results are separate from the current APK checks.

    Android device installation and real 1:1/MUJI calls remain untested. The release
    is therefore marked as a prerelease; its APK build type is RELEASE.
