  monocles chat 2.3.1 — upstream update / M152 / MUJI / call setup fix Pre-release

  Signed release APK for the separate monocles chat app, using WebRTC M152 and the upstream update e501c97bfa.

  Fixes a direct-call setup deadlock: the native signaling callback could wait for the Java monitor held by AddTrack. Initial audio/video setup and hangup could then remain blocked. Remote-track callbacks now use a separate publication lock, including late-callback checks after close.

  • Includes the upstream fixes for PEP reconnection and I2P WebRTC file transfer. The merge changes only AxolotlService.java and JingleFileTransferConnection.java.
  • 123 call, codec and MUJI JVM tests passed in 10 suites. Three added tests reproduce the old callback timeouts on the previous code and pass with this fix.
  • Release signing, all four native ABIs, Android API levels, native library hashes, JNI bindings and R8 checks passed on the resulting APK.
  • Existing WebRTC M152 and libsignal native libraries were reused.
  • Android device installation and real calls with other clients have not been retested. This is a prerelease; the APK build type is RELEASE.

  Install monocles-chat-2.3.1-m152-muji.apk. It updates our separate de.monocles.chat.dinox app using the same signing key. Android 6.0 or newer; universal APK for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86 and x86_64.
