WebRTC M152 for Monocles

This repository supplies the Android WebRTC library used by monocles-chat. To install the app, use the Monocles APK releases. The .aar files here are build dependencies, not installable Android apps.

Version .3 corrects missing generated Java/JNI classes in .1 and .2. Use .3 for new builds. The older downloads remain available for traceability, but are superseded. Their native libraries were reused; the Java packaging was corrected. Debug and optimized release APK packaging was checked with .3. Android device calls and hardware codec behavior still require device testing.

Binaries are release attachments, not Git files. Monocles resolves the pinned AAR through Gradle and verifies its checksum. Library releases are immutable: new library contents require a new version and checksum. The metadata archive contains source revisions, toolchain inputs, notices and reproduction steps. Large source checkouts and native compilation belong on the prepared build server; ordinary application builds reuse the published AAR.
