Advanced sign-in: server and proxy

Where to find it
Sign-in dialog → Advanced Settings
For normal sign-in you usually do not need to enter anything here. DinoX finds the server from your XMPP address. A proxy is an additional intermediary for the connection; it is not your XMPP provider.
What do the choices mean?
Server and port
Only enter special values supplied to you. These change the connection destination, not your XMPP address. Otherwise leave them empty.
SOCKS5 proxy
Enable only if you have access to such a proxy. Enter its address, port and, if needed, its username and password. An incorrect proxy prevents sign-in.
