Where to find it
MQTT → Bot Manager → Configuration
The manager states when changes are saved: topic subscriptions and publishing/free text use Save & Apply; alert and bridge rules save immediately. Pause Messages hides the display while incoming values continue to be recorded.
What do the choices mean?
Subscribe to topic
Enter the topic, optional alias and required delivery level (QoS), add it and save. Wildcards can match many topics; subscribe only to the needed scope.
Publish preset
Enter a recognisable name, destination topic and content (payload). Triggering it may control real devices; check destination and content first.
Free-text publish
Configure a publish topic and optional response topic. Deliberately send entered text through this connection, for example to a matching Node-RED flow.
Alert rule
Choose the topic pattern, optional field within a JSON message, comparison and threshold or keyword. Priority determines the alert’s classification.
Bridge rule
Defines which MQTT messages are forwarded to which XMPP address. Check destination, format and sending account. This may expose device values to other people.
